A new horizon
Performance Center
Sara D. Roosevelt Park - New York
Advisor: Garrett Ricciardi
When we change our perspective, we draw a new horizon. By giving a new use to a medium, a part of the street that is usually ignored, we experience performance in a complete different way. From the distance we can see a bridge over a waterway. Delancey Street is the pathway to reach these sites where a suspended “machine” is waiting to be launched. A structure anchored to an island that joins both sides of the park allowing visitors to absorb culture and watch the sun as it rises and sets.
